Navigating A Pandemic

First off, we hope that everybody is staying safe and healthy. We never imagined that we'd be navigating Ohio Building Services through a pandemic when we took over the company a year ago.

COVID-19 has brought a lot of fundamental changes to our business and clients. First off, like other businesses, we've certainly had some dramatic changes with our client base as a lot of clients suspended services while moving their teams remotely over the past couple of months. That's been hard for our team and employees who have grown close to these clients over the past months.

However, despite the downs we've been able to reformat core parts of our business to react to the needs of our clients. We've doubled-down on disinfecting services, including offering recurring fogging services with a fogging atomizer machine. That change in strategy has resulted in more jobs for our team and safer working environments for our clients.

We've increased the communication and working partnerships with our clients, including helping create rapid response plans, tailoring our services to focus on disinfection, and accommodating changing scheduling demands.

Overall, we couldn't be happier with the way that our employees have responded to the changes in their day-to-day work environments. We're proud that we've retained our staff and their hours to help them as much as possible throughout this time. We're equally proud that we've been able to hire new employees to assist with disinfecting services.

We're especially proud that we have a client base that is supportive of our efforts and views cleaning as a two-way street. Often times, cleaning is not a glamorous role. It's very challenging, errors occur, and you usually only hear feedback that is negative. Despite the perceptions of the industry, our clients have been amazing. They truly care about their employees and have been nothing but respectful to our team during these times.

Sometimes it takes an event like this pandemic for the proper reflection and appreciation to occur. We're fortunate to take this time to be thankful for our amazing management team, incredible employees, and great clients who we are proud to serve.

Thank you all for what you do.
